The Escalation
A long-running neighborhood conflict between off-duty Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent Tim Harrison and his former neighbor Cody Sparks culminated in a violent confrontation at the Northwest Side San Antonio home of Sparks’ parents. While the two men were once friendly neighbors, Sparks noted that the relationship deteriorated significantly over an 18-month period, during which Harrison routinely intimidated Sparks while he walked his family’s dogs.
Pattern of Harassment and Earlier Incidents
Prior Intimidation: Sparks began recording their interactions after Harrison allegedly spit on him during a previous encounter.
May 2025 Confrontation: Video captured Harrison standing in the street, challenging Sparks to “mutual combat” after accusing him of revving his engine near Harrison and his child.
Weaponizing Legal History: During the May 2025 video, Harrison taunted Sparks regarding his legal troubles, stating, “You and your druggie buddies will be found again... I’ll make sure of it.” Sparks had previously been arrested for tampering with evidence (a charge dismissed in February) and drug possession, for which he entered a pretrial diversion program to clear his record.
The Physical Assault on June 10
The tension erupted on June 10 when Harrison approached Sparks at his parents’ residence:
Trespassing & Contradicted Claims: Harrison claimed to San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) officers that he walked over to speak with Sparks’ mother and that Sparks swung at him first.
Video Evidence: Cell phone footage directly contradicted Harrison’s account, showing Harrison walking onto the driveway while Sparks repeatedly yelled at him to back off. Police reports confirm the footage shows Harrison initiating physical contact by striking Sparks twice in the head.
Physical Altercation: The confrontation escalated into a physical struggle against the garage door, causing structural damage. During the fight, one of Sparks’ dogs bit Harrison’s leg, leading to blood on the driveway. Sparks stated he was forced to defend himself by physically restraining Harrison until police arrived.
Official Responses and Ongoing Investigations
Police Record: Records show SAPD has responded multiple times to incidents involving homes on the block, primarily for neighbor disputes and threats.
ICE Inquiry: While SAPD investigates Harrison for possible criminal charges, his employer opened a separate probe. An official ICE spokesperson stated the agency does not comment on ongoing internal investigations.
Current Status: Harrison has not faced criminal charges while SAPD continues its investigation.
