Transmitting Through the Dead Space

2.26.2026-Eyes on Intel Episode 26

Episode: February 26, 2026 The broadcast has dimmed today as one of our resisters has gone silent.

The Buffalo Tragedy: The Abandonment of Nurul Amin Shah Alam

A raw and unflinching look at the preventable death of Nurul Amin Shah Alam. A 56-year-old, nearly blind Rohingya refugee was abandoned to die in Buffalo’s freezing streets after both Buffalo police and Border Patrol failed him.

  • The Timeline: Buffalo police found Shah Alam confused on a porch. They tasered, beat, and arrested him, holding him for a full year.

  • The Hand-off: Upon his release on February 19, 2026, Erie County handed him to Border Patrol under an immigration detainer.

  • The Neglect: CBP drove him five miles from his home and dumped him at a Tim Hortons in subzero cold—no coat, no phone, and no family notification.

  • The Result: His body was found on February 25, 2026.

A National Pattern of Recklessness

We connect this tragedy to a wider, lawless pattern of behavior by federal agents across the country.

High-Speed Pursuits

  • Newark, NJ (Feb 25, 2026): An ICE chase through a school zone caused a multi-car pileup involving children ages 12–15. Mayor Ras J. Baraka slammed the agency for its “rabid, lawless pattern.”

  • Savannah, GA (Feb 16, 2026): Dr. Linda Davis (52), a beloved special education teacher, was killed when a driver fleeing ICE crashed into her vehicle.

Agent Fragility & Criminalizing Defense

  • Portland, OR: ICE officer Israel D. Hernandez threatened to shoot a teenager on a motorized bike over a punched window.

  • Arizona SB 1635: Senator John Kavanagh is pushing to criminalize blowing a whistle to warn neighbors of ICE activity.

The Texas Cover-Up: Martinez and Orta

In March 2025, U.S. citizen Ruben Ray Martinez (23) was shot and killed by an ICE agent. The sole witness, Joshua Orta, provided a statement contradicting the official narrative. In a “convenient coincidence,” Orta died in a car crash in San Antonio just before the grand jury convened.

Corporate Enablers: Starve the Beast

DHS is pushing a $300M detention complex in Southeast D.C. Ward 8. Clark Construction, which earns ~$3B annually in local contracts, is the primary builder.

The Call to Action: Target the supply chain. We demand Clark Construction pull out of the Ward 8 project or lose all local D.C. contracts. The machine only stops when we cut off its resources.

Victim Memorial Roll Call

We name them so they are not forgotten. They should all be alive today.

  • Nurul Amin Shah Alam

  • Dr. Linda Davis

  • Renee Macklin Good

  • Ruben Ray Martinez
