The Ransom Note: AG Bondi’s Letter is Extortion, Not Law Enforcement
While federal agents leave “Death Cards” on windshields in -30° weather, Washington demands Minnesota hand over the keys to the state. By CSP
Jan 25, 2026
It is -30°F in Minneapolis today. The streets are gridlocked by a historic General Strike. Union snowplow drivers, students, and shop owners are risking frostbite to stand against the 2,000 federal agents currently occupying their city.
And in the middle of this freeze, while families are huddling in warming centers to avoid being snatched by unmarked vans, Attorney General Pamela Bondi sent a letter from her heated office in D.C.
She isn’t offering aid. She isn’t offering de-escalation. She is sending a ransom note.
Her January 24th letter to Governor Walz demands the repeal of Minnesota’s sanctuary laws, full access to voter rolls, and the handing over of welfare data. She claims this is about “safety.” She claims this is about “law.”
But we know what is actually happening on the ground. This is a siege.
The “Death Card” Reality vs. The “Law & Order” Myth
Bondi’s letter paints a picture of a lawless hellscape fueled by “criminal aliens.” She cites a 1,300% increase in assaults on ICE agents as justification for the paramilitary force currently kicking down doors in the Twin Cities.
But while Bondi writes about “assaults on agents,” her agents are waging psychological warfare on the community.
We have confirmed reports and video evidence from Eagle County to the Twin Cities that ICE agents are leaving Ace of Spades playing cards, custom printed with ICE contact info, on the vehicles of detained immigrants. This is a specific callback to the [suspicious link removed] to terrorize the Viet Cong.
This is the reality Bondi ignores. She frames federal agents as victims of “radical rhetoric,” while those same agents are leaving symbols of death on family minivans documented by Voces Unidas. It proves the cruelty is not a byproduct; it is the point.
The Myth of the “Crime Wave”
Bondi relies on the tired trope that immigrants fuel crime. But the data, which she willfully ignores, proves the opposite.
The Reality: A 2024 Brennan Center analysis found absolutely no evidence of a “migrant crime wave.”
The Stats: The most comprehensive study to date, released by Stanford University in 2023, confirmed that immigrants are significantly less likely to be incarcerated than native born Americans.
The Lie: Bondi claims sanctuary policies create chaos, yet a Center for American Progress study showed that violent crime actually decreased in sanctuary counties compared to non sanctuary ones.
Bondi knows this. The “crime wave” is a manufactured narrative designed to justify the tanks in our streets.
The Hit List: Voter Rolls & “Welfare Fraud”
The most chilling part of Bondi’s letter isn’t the demand for arrests; it’s the demand for data. She is invoking the Civil Rights Act, a perverse irony, to demand access to Minnesota’s voter rolls and welfare program data.
She calls it “rooting out fraud.” We should call it what it is: Building a national registry.
By demanding the names of everyone on state assistance and everyone registered to vote, the DOJ is preparing for two things:
Targeted starvation: Cutting off lifelines to mixed status families.
Mass disenfranchisement: Creating a pretext to purge voters ahead of the 2026 midterms.
This isn’t just about immigration anymore. This is a federal data grab intended to break the political power of any state that dares to resist.
Safety is a Smokescreen
Bondi claims sanctuary cities “endanger the public.” But look at Minneapolis right now. The danger isn’t coming from the immigrant cooks or construction workers observing the strike.
The danger is the checkpoints. The danger is the drones buzzing overhead. The danger is the fear that calling 911 for a fire will result in a deportation order. Sanctuary policies were created to solve crimes by allowing witnesses to speak without fear. Repealing them doesn’t restore order; it imposes silence.
The Resistance is Real
Bondi’s letter was meant to intimidate. It was meant to be the “shock and awe” that breaks Governor Walz and the people of Minnesota.
It failed.
Instead of capitulating, Minnesota froze the gears of the economy. The General Strike happening right now is the answer to her letter. They aren’t arguing over statistics anymore. They are demonstrating that safety doesn’t come from a federal badge; it comes from community solidarity.
They have the agents. They have the “Death Cards.” But the people have the numbers, and they have the cold.
Stand fast, Minnesota. We are watching.
