“They dig on this... Think about how many times somebody got killed by police that they called to help them.” — Chairman Paul Birdsong
We have been conditioned to believe that security comes from a badge. We are taught that when the wolf comes to the door, whether it’s ICE, a burglar, or a crisis, we dial three numbers and a hero arrives.
That is a lie.
As we saw with Sonya Massey, who called for help over a pot of water and ended up dead in her own kitchen, the state is not a protector. It is a force multiplier for chaos. If you call them to stop ICE, you aren’t summoning a shield; you are summoning a second hammer.
The Only Real Security is Us
Real security isn’t a patrol car. It’s the person living next door.
We are entering an era where “community” isn’t just a nice word for a potluck. It is a tactical necessity for survival. The police chief in Philly can talk a big game about arresting ICE agents who break the law, but we know the truth: They won’t stop them. They play for the same team.
So, what is left? Us.
The Tactical Architecture of Sharing
Chairman Birdsong laid it out clearly. It’s not just about having a rifle (though that is part of it). It is about building a logistics network on your block that doesn’t rely on the grid.
1. The Stockpile is Shared You can’t eat gold and you can’t shoot a virus. True wealth in this new reality is:
Antibiotics & Medicine: When the hospita unsafe or watched.
Dry Goods & Canned Food: When the supply chain chokes.
First Aid Kits: For when 911 is too dangerous to call.
But hoarding it in a bunker makes you a target. Sharing it makes you a leader. When you feed your neighbor, you earn their loyalty. And loyalty is the only armor that stops a raid.
2. The Defense is Collective “You defend yourself.” That is the rule. But “self” extends to your block. If ICE hits the house across the street, and you close your blinds, you are next. The only way the “Can-Can Defense” or the “Phone Tree” works is if we realize that my safety is tied to your freedom.
Stop Waiting for Superman
There is no court order coming to save us. There is no politician coming to shut down the camps. There is only you, a dual-channel dashcam, a stockpile of beans, and the neighbor you promised to protect.
Unite. Share. Defend. Because nobody is coming to save us but us.
