The Mechanics of the “Box”
The tactic relies on speed, synchronization, and the use of the interceptors’ vehicle mass as a physical barrier. A standard box typically involves four positions:
The Lead (Front): One vehicle pulls directly in front of the target and decelerates or stops, cutting off forward momentum.
The Trail (Rear): A second vehicle pulls tight to the target’s rear bumper, preventing the driver from reversing.
The Flanks (Sides): Additional vehicles pull up parallel to the target’s doors. This prevents the target from swerving out of the lane and physically blocks the doors from being opened.
An Example (not intentional)
This morning 04.07.2026
On I-5 in Patterson CA agents used unmarked vehicles to pin a sedan against a highway ramp. The trapped driver is now in critical condition after agents opened fire. Discharging firearms in a high-traffic corridor over enforcement actions escalates routine stops into potential mass-casualty events.
The pattern is systemic:
Chicago October 2025: Marimar Martinez, a 30-year-old U.S. citizen and Montessori teacher’s assistant, honked her horn to warn neighbors during an ICE operation. Agents boxed her. Agent Charles Exum deliberately swerved into her car then fired five rounds in under two seconds. Forensic evidence and bodycam contradict the initial claim that she “rammed” agents. She survived but faced smears and charges later dropped.
The Department of Homeland Security is one of “officer safety” and “criminal evasion.” The material reality documented from Chicago to Savannah to Baltimore to Minneapolis to San Antonio and now Patterson shows federal agents using high-risk paramilitary vehicle-interdiction tactics that treat the public as disposable collateral in the service of mass deportation quotas.
The “Box”
Intentional ramming and pinning of moving vehicles with unmarked federal SUVs – is not standard law enforcement. It is a kinetic ambush. When the regime authorizes agents to wreck cars on public highways to make arrests, it has already decided that the lives inside those cars and on the roads around them are expendable.
Baltimore days ago
Ever Alvarenga Rios, a business owner seeking citizenship, was violently rear-ended by ICE agents on his way to work. He suffered significant injuries to head, chest, back, and hands. While hospitalized, ICE restricted attorney access in clear violation of due process.
Savannah GA February 2026:
High-speed ICE pursuit through a residential zone (forbidden by local protocols) led a fleeing driver to run a red light and kill Dr. Linda Davis, a beloved educator. Local officials were never notified of the federal operation on their streets.
Minneapolis January 2026:
Agents boxed a vehicle in a residential neighborhood and opened fire, killing 37-year-old mother Renee Nicole Good. Eyewitnesses reported officers blocking medics as she lay dying.
San Antonio TX:
In a crowded Walmart parking lot agents surrounded Robyn Argote-Brooks. A collision occurred as he tried to reverse. He was pinned at gunpoint amid families and now faces charges for damaging the very vehicles used to ram him.
The operational cycle is deliberate:
Initiate with ramming/boxing,
Interpret any evasive move as a threat,
Escalate to lethal force
Smear the victim as criminal or terrorist.
This is not public safety.
It is the militarization of civil immigration enforcement under the current regime, where taxpayer-funded vehicles and agents are deployed in ways that shred due process, endanger communities, and prioritize spectacle and quotas over human life. These operations rely on public infrastructure and funding yet treat the public as enemy terrain.
Marimar Martinez, Dr. Linda Davis, Ever Alvarenga Rios, Renee Nicole Good, Robyn Argote-Brooks, and the driver in Patterson today deserved material conditions that prioritize human dignity, due process, and collective safety over billionaire-backed enforcement theater that funnels resources into raids while austerity guts social supports.
The Power Imbalance Is Clear.
State violence calibrated for submission through fear. The regime monopolizing legitimate force on public highways with minimal accountability while communities bear the bodies and trauma.
