CBP Deputy Commish John Modlin covered up many child sexual assaults and rapes by Border Patrol agent when he was Chief of Tucson sector. Good riddance. He is crooked as hell.
Thank you for this I removed him from the list until I can do further research. There are a lot of moving parts and I am learning but it does not excuse any mistakes on my part. Thank you for pointing this out.
It’s a bit of a catch-22. It was terrible when the got rid of the oversight. But at the same time, that oversight has always been corrupt. Not every one of course, but the system & management. Although I will say, the corruption & violence has increased now that there is zero accountability instead of a little bit.
You should read my book. Everything you see now in the streets was being done in the 90s in BP. Ramming cars, lying, violence, sexual assaults, yanking poc out of their cars. Difference is it was just on the border, aimed at those just crossing. That book is nearly 4 yrs old. It explains a lot.
@eyes on ICE, you may want to know the truth about ICE & CPB & an officer you're highlighting in this article! John Modlin was NOT a good guy! He covered up sex crimes committed by officers. Jenn Bud is a former CBP officer & whistle blower. There's a documentary on HBO about the history of this! He definitely does NOT need to be highlighted! He belongs in prison with many others!
I would tend to believe what you’re writing except for one thing!
You are making it sound like you’re the people who make fake news for the other side. Why did you have to be completely over the top with your “conjecture” as to what happens next or what happens without them.
Look back at your writing and tell me if that isn’t over the top with your descriptions…where you could’ve just stated their history of steady, tenured supervision in these areas was replaced by …less qualified…and maybe THEN lead with (probably) successors chosen for their blind loyalty and/or bellicose style.
If you aren’t so superlative with the adjectives and descriptors you use… It’ll be much more believable and useful for what it’s designed to be. Thank you.

Wow that is just awful, I have heard horror stories about what happens on the border and you confirming it just breaks my heart.
