What came out the other side is pure devastation. A child destroyed. A mother broken. A family thrown back into hell.

Andrea and her daughter slumped on painted tires staring out over some dusty Colombian hillside. Their eyes look dead. Between those two photos sits more than two months of deliberate state sponsored torture that should make every decent person want to puke and scream.
They did not just detain a 13 year old eighth grader. They methodically crushed her.
For over 60 days they crammed her and her family into a tiny room at Dilley with three other families. She found a worm crawling in her food and stopped eating completely. The government staff the adults we pay to protect kids deliberately withheld her prescribed anxiety medication and sleeping pills.
The final fracture was cruel and totally preventable. During a full facility lockdown a guard physically blocked the terrified teenager from simply going to the bathroom with her mother and sister. That was the moment she broke.
She grabbed a plastic knife from the cafeteria sliced her own wrist and slammed her head into the wall over and over. This child told her mother she would rather die than spend one more second in their cage.
A 13 year old kid attempted suicide while under direct government watch.
Any human with a soul knows what must happen next: immediate real medical help and psychiatric care right fucking now.
Instead they locked the whole family in isolation refused to let them see a doctor then rushed them onto a plane and deported them back to Colombia on February 11. They washed their hands like the broken child they created never existed.
Her discharge papers listed the damage in cold clinical language: PTSD anxiety and suicide attempt by cutting of wrist.
When journalists pressed a DHS official he brushed it off as just a case of self harm and refused to answer any questions about what their staff actually did. The real proof lives in the drawings this little girl made while trapped inside their nightmare.
A tiny red cloaked figure standing completely alone in front of massive stone walls topped with iron spikes and surrounded by dead trees. That was how she saw their so called facility. A child swallowed whole by the beast.
Even worse is the sketch of a monster with hollow eyes and a neck crudely stitched shut. Right next to it in her own handwriting she described the bad version of herself that now lives in her head and will not leave her alone.
We put that monster there.
Our tax dollars built those walls. Our government designed this machine. Our politicians defend it with slogans. This is not a glitch. This is the system working exactly as intended breaking children to send a message.
No border security talking point no contractor excuse no political bullshit can wash the blood off their hands.
This is national shame. Deep. Rotting. Unforgivable.
Dilley is not a residential center. It is a torture chamber for kids and we let it keep running.
