THE GOOD TROUBLE LIST
SECTION 1: THE HARDWARE (Buy at Seven Corners Hardware or Menards)
4x Carriage Bolts: Size 1/4”-20 x 1.25” (Use 1.5” length if handles are thick).
Note: Must be “Carriage” style (smooth domed head).
4x Hex Nuts: Size 1/4”-20.
4x Fender Washers: Size 1/4” x 1” (Wide metal washer).
4x Rubber Washers: Size 1/4” ID (Inner Diameter).
Critical: If you can’t find these, buy rubber “grommets” or cut squares from an old bike inner tube. Do not skip this; metal-on-plastic causes cracks.
SECTION 2: THE CORE (Buy at Cope Plastics or Menards)
1x Polycarbonate Sheet: Size 24” x 48” (Thickness: 1/4”).
Note: Ensure it is Solid Polycarbonate (Lexan), not Acrylic.
SECTION 3: THE GRIP (Buy at Ax-Man Surplus)
2x Heavy Duty Handles: Industrial plastic or metal gate pulls.
Note: Ensure the mounting holes allow a 1/4” bolt to pass through.
SECTION 4: THE CAMO (Buy at Wet Paint)
1x Gator Board: Size 24” x 48” (Black).
1x Roll Heavy Duty Tape: Black Gorilla Tape or Gaffer Tape.
