January 20, 2026, protesters in New York City stood in solidarity with Minnesota to prepare for the upcoming "Day of Truth and Freedom" on Friday, January 23

LIST OF OFFICAL PROTEST RESOURCES AND LOCATIONS INSIDE

The Contagion is Real: The “Day of Truth” Goes National

They thought they could contain it in South Minneapolis. They thought flashbangs, “disappeared” teachers, and a few well-placed press releases would keep the lid on. They were wrong.

What started as a desperate defense of a single neighborhood has mutated into a full-blown national contagion. The January 23 “Day of Truth and Freedom” isn’t just a Minnesota thing anymore. The “virus” of resistance has jumped state lines, and this Friday, the machine is going to find out exactly how many people are willing to pull the emergency brake.

Today (Jan 20) was the tremor. Friday is the earthquake. Here is the of where the ground is shifting and where you can plug in to the blackout.

Ground Zero: Minnesota

The Action: The epicenter. This is a total economic blackout. No Work. No School. No Shopping.

Over 90 organizations, nine grocery co-ops, and major unions (SEIU Local 26, MFE) are shutting it down. They aren’t asking for permission; they are exercising the “right of refusal.”

  • The Target: A 2:00 PM march in Downtown Minneapolis to demand federal withdrawal and justice for Renee Good.

  • The Tone: This isn’t a parade; it’s a blockade against an occupying force.

The Reinforcements: New York (NYC)

The Action: The NYC Solidarity Front is matching Minnesota wave-for-wave.

If Minnesota is the shield, New York is the sword. The United Federation of Teachers (UFT) has issued emergency resolutions, and youth-led groups like Get Free America are emptying classrooms.

  • The Plan: A massive “ICE Out for Good” rally hitting Union Square at 4:00 PM this Friday.

  • The Target: Tech enablers like Palantir and Amazon who build the surveillance dragnet.

The Student Front: Georgia (Atlanta)

The Action: The kids are alright—and they are angry.

This is the unexpected uprising. Students from Georgia Tech, Emory, and Lakeside High School walked out en masse today (Jan 20) and are rolling that energy directly into Friday’s actions.1

  • The Reality: Over 300 students at Lakeside High alone walked out to protest the “deportation machine.” The Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) is coordinating ongoing actions in the metro area.

The West Coast Wall: California (Los Angeles & Pasadena)

The Action: The “ICE Out for Good” weekend kicked off early here and isn’t stopping.

Thousands have already marched through downtown LA, shutting down traffic near the Edward Roybal Federal Building.2

  • The Plan: Continuous pressure. Activists are linking the death of Renee Good in MN to the death of Kevin Porter in Northridge, CA. They are turning Pershing Square into a staging ground for refusal.3

The Suburban Revolt: Illinois (Chicago)

The Action: It’s not just the city; the suburbs are waking up.

Students at Oak Park and River Forest High Schoo walkouts today, marching directly to Congressman Danny Davis’ office. They know the “Midway Blitz” (the Chicago surge) was the beta test for what is happening in Minneapolis now.

The Usual Suspects: Oregon & Texas

  • Portland, OR: They never sleep. “ICE Out for Good” rallies are active at Monument Square, with loca the dots between MN shootings and local raids.

Austin, TX: Pepper bal the J.J. Pickle Federal Building.4 Protests are escalating nightly as the community pushes back against the “Southcom” creeping north.

RISE

The media wants you to think this is isolated. They want you to think it’s just “Minnesota Nice” cracking under pressure. It’s not. This is a synchronized, nationwide rejection of the police state.

On January 23, the lights up. Pick your location, find your people, and don’t let them spin this.

See you in the streets.
