In 2023, I helped raise awareness of the terror the owners of the Freedom Acres Ranch in Colorado faced. Livestock poisoned, dogs killed, even the sheriff arrested the owner. They need our help again!

Actions You Can Take Within The Post

🚨 URGENT CALL TO ACTION: The Siege on Freedom Acres Ranch Continues. We Need Your Help. 🚨

In early 2023, the nightmare unfolding at Freedom Acres Ranch captured national attention. Courtney and Nicole Mallery, two military veterans who relocated to Yoder, Colorado, after surviving Hurricane Harvey, posted a desperate plea for help that went viral. You can view my original post on r/worldnewsvideo detailing what they were facing here: https://www.reddit.com/r/worldnewsvideo/comments/11082xx/a_black_couple_that_owns_the_freedom_farm_in_el/?sort=top

They bought over 1,000 acres to build a sustainable food source and a safe haven for their community. Instead, they walked into a coordinated campaign of racial terror and intimidation by local residents. It is a modern day Klan operation operating with the complicity of local law enforcement.

Despite surviving hurricanes, arrests, and years of racial terror, CW and Nicole have refused to pack up and run. They continue to run Freedom Acres Ranch, fighting for Black land ownership, food sovereignty, and their basic right to exist safely on the land they legally own. But the harassment has not stopped, and the threat to their lives remains active and unchecked.

Here is exactly what they have endured on their own land, and below is exactly how you can help them fight back.

What Courtney and Nicole Mallery Have Endured

1. The Slaughter and Poisoning of Their Animals To terrorize the Mallerys and destroy their livelihood, perpetrators have repeatedly targeted their livestock and pets. The couple has found their cows, pigs, goats, and dogs poisoned, mutilated, and even beheaded. Animals have been deliberately run over, stolen, or left dead on their property as a warning.

2. Armed Intimidation and Physical Threats The Mallerys have been subjected to constant threats of lethal violence. Neighbors have trespassed onto their land, chased CW off his own property, and pointed firearms at them. Recently, this escalated to blinding green laser sights from firearms being pointed directly into their vehicles at dusk. They have had racial and misogynistic slurs hurled at them over their fence lines, and neighbors have reportedly attempted to ram them with vehicles while they were out in public.

3. Property Destruction and Constant Surveillance Their property has been repeatedly vandalized. Fences and gates have been damaged or destroyed over a dozen times to allow animals to escape or to grant trespassers access. Their security cameras have been smashed. Meanwhile, neighbors have kept them under intense surveillance, doxxing them online and writing down the license plate numbers of anyone who visits the ranch.

4. The Weaponization of Law Enforcement Perhaps the most egregious part of their ordeal is the response of the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office. Instead of protecting the Mallerys, the department was weaponized against them.

  • When the Mallerys installed security cameras to catch the people killing their animals and vandalizing their property, the Sheriff’s department used those cameras as a pretext to issue warrants for the Mallerys.

  • In early 2023, CW and Nicole were arrested and hit with felony stalking charges, petty theft, and tampering.

  • They were forced to bond out of jail with the help of the Rocky Mountain NAACP.

  • Prosecutors later dropped the charges, exposing the arrests as a baseless intimidation tactic meant to silence them and force them off their land.
