Senator Marsha Blackburn’s War on Migrants Weaponizing ‘Doxxing’ to Shield Bigotry Senator Marsha Blackburn is pushing a bill that criminalizes transparency under the guise of protecting law enforcement.
Her Protecting Law Enforcement from Doxxing Act would make it illegal to publish the names of federal immigration officers if deemed to “obstruct” an operation a blatant attempt to silence accountability and shield ICE from scrutiny.
Blackburn’s bill follows Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell’s transparency initiative which briefly included ICE agents’ names in a public report before being removed.
Instead of addressing ICE’s abuses Blackburn is manufacturing outrage to protect anti migrant enforcement from public oversight. This isn’t about safety it’s about criminalizing dissent and protecting systemic bigotry. Let’s keep our eyes open.
